Thanks to MEK for rising to the challenge, Marie and Jiang for being
even more flexible, James and Ken for Sunday cover.

We've got to get approval for this from Trustees, but we're asking
them to agree, for three months from Monday 1 July, a modest formal
increase in responsibilities, with a bonus or increment (wording under
discussion).

I will be your line manager, but obviously not doing Miranda's job:
you are taking on most of that for the next two weeks, and in
September.  We'll get to details about the other 7 weeks in a minute.

If you run in to something you don't know how to deal with, your first
call is to your teammates, and only if they can't help, me.  Even more
than before, you need to work as a team.  If I need to ask for
something to be done, I'll ask or email all three of you, and it will
be up to you to decide who/how it will get done.  Jackie, with her
Treasurer hat on, may also ask you for something at some point.

DUring CVenue's 7-week occupation (mid-July, all of August), we have
agreed a rota, of first person to call in case of urgent issue with
the building/CVenues/whatever: me, Rachel and Katriona MacRae, with
Jackie as fallback if we can't be reached.

You are hereby encouraged to take annual leave during that 7 weeks,
and to arrange your hours yourself to avoid having all three in the
office at the same time [except for one or two all-hands gatherings
with me/, maybe?].  We will try to do some of what Miranda ha spoken
about in terms of rethinking the 'business process' of bookings.
We would welcome your input -- brainstorm with each other or on your
own, what could we be doing differently/better/not at all?

MC is working full tilt on preparing a plan for defining and hiring
Miranda's replacement, we'll share as much about that, in particular
with respect to whether and if so for how long we might ask you to
extend your additional responsibilities.
