Meeting House Management Committee Agenda 2024-12-09 Monday 9 December, 5 p.m., in 7 Victoria Terrace * Attendance: tutti * Convenor's report * Trustees between meetings decision 2024-11-12 Unofficially agreed to December salary uplift for MEK * Further member for MHMC HST approached Dan ... wrt possible YF to suggest, no reply as yet, continued * HST emailed Clan Gordon if we can start early in the New Year, called today, still no date when we could expect them to pick us back up * COVID-19 Enquiry * Managers' report * Holiday Cover* * Christmas opening * Carpet Situation* * Casual staff * Staff Development* * Finances * Good news/bad news Income ahead of budget, expenditures even more ahead, so net deficit, but less than budgeted * Legacy Sue Freshwater's estate has cleared probate, and SESAM have received nearly 320,000GBP * Lets NFPB: Precedent for charging or not? We currently hold our meetings as hybrid events, with probably about 25 people attending in person and others online. * The meetings take place on Saturdays, between 10am for setting up and 5pm to pack away (the meeting itself will probably start and end an hour after/before those times). * It is helpful to have a room that can allow a couple of tables for resources and space for people to move about during the day. * We can bring our own equipment for the hybrid element of the meeting, provided there is good wifi. But if there is equipment in the building that we could use, that would be helpful. * We would like access to a kitchen for making hot drinks - or to have these provided - and for Friends to be able to eat their lunches in the building if they wish to. * If Meetings can provide a meeting space at no or low cost as a way of supporting NFPB, that would be appreciated, though we realise that we are not alone in facing financial challenges. YFGM: How much should they donate -- 200/300 in the past per MS More than nothing, which is likely, but less than ~400 concession * Summer 2025 * Momentum * Greenside * C Venues * Any other business 3F2 * Time without staff * Cover on 30 December * Date of next meeting
