1. Layout

We have made a few layout changes.

Firstly, we have made it more simple to recommend with the “RECOMMEND” button being in the bottom left corner of the map of books. It is always there so if you think of something to recommend, please help the YourNextRead community by creating new links.

Secondly, the “History” and “Save List” tabs have become more prominent as people sometimes missed these features. You may also notice the social icons such as facebook and twitter have moved below the map of books in the “SHARE” menu.

Thirdly, we have tightened up the interface to mean you can quickly scroll through reviews and search results.

Fourthly, we have made our buttons black so that the text is a bit clearer.

2. Search and lists

We have transformed search and lists throughout YourNextRead. We know people find different information helpful, some like to see big book covers, others want to see a lot of books, and some like a bit of both. We have five new search views for you to play with: Extra large covers; Large covers; Large list; Medium list; and Compact list.

We have also changed the way reviews and descriptions are shown. These are also shown in a list. You can see the same information as before, as you can always click on “...more” to see the full review. The goodreads reviews and descriptions are still available if you scroll to the bottom.

3. Information

We know that sometimes our search takes a bit longer than normal. So we have tried to provide you with more information about what YourNextRead is doing when you ask to “find another book...” or ask for “more books”. If you think of any other ways we can make the process better then please let us know.

4. New features

You wanted to save the lists you create, so we have changed “Wishlist” to “Save List” and added a bigger “save” button to both the “History” and “Save List” tab. What does this mean for you? Well it means you can save either your YourNextRead “History” or the books you have asked to save during your visit which are displayed in “Save List”. Please note you can only save a list if you are logged in.

You can recall your “saved list” using “saved lists” on the home page when you are logged in.
