Vibrancy -- Rachel Matthews, Vibrancy in Meetings Programme
Coordinator

Faith in the Future a starting point for Meetings?
Support local meetings to thrive - "full of life"

  Vibrancy Steering Group -- membership?

Get in touch with local development worker...

Four pilot 'local development workers' in Devon, Cornwall and West
Somerset; The North West; Wales and Southern Marches; Sussex, Surrey
  and Kent.

Visit to PYM and B(alt...)YM by BYM Clerk and Recording Clerk
"The joyful burden of love" Thomas Kelly, via BaYM Epistle

PYM -- Financial crunch -> "we can't go on the same way" -> laid
down _all_ central committees, replaced with a framework for
time-limited efforts, called 'Collaboratives' and 'Sprints'

Care groups for e.g. BYM Clerk

Two widespread issues/dimensions of concern and effort

     * Diversity, a.k.a. _Undoing Racism_, not just as a national
issue, but an issue for Quaker meetings themselves

     * Young adult friends - Epistle from YAF at PYM --
       http://www.pym.org/pym-young-adult-friends-epistle-2016/

PYM YAF -- anger and frustration - creating structures outside
       the 'official' ones

QPSW Annual report: MfS 2016 10 07 in

Booklets on the New Economy: linked from
   http://www.quaker.org.uk/our-work/economic-justice/new-economy

"Movement building" -- anticipated as a major topic at YMG2017

EAPPI -- "EAPPI is an international World Council of Churches
programme. EAPPI UK/Ireland is a joint project of church partners,
implemented by QPSW" The situation is dire, under constant review,
with careful risk management processes. "The problems [EAAPI] are
having is a sign that it's successful."

Refugees: Legacy funding for one-year post from December, to
identify appropriate national-level work that is best _for us_.
Liaison with Quaker Asylum and Refugee Network (QARN). Some actual
   actions, maybe, but mostly planning/reporting.

Living out our faith (call for equality): Q3 - how Meeting for
Sufferings balances and prioritises different parts of the work we are
called to do.

Diversity -- equal to what? What counts as enough (young people,
  asian/black/... people)

"[We] can't do fine detail with a broad brush"

We should admit that we don't, and can't, do prioritisation

"'How come the Methodists can respond to things so much more quickly
    than we can'"

Should we only commit central effort to things which are _not_
alreadly well addressed elsewhere, which _are_ pretty much uniquely
_Quaker_ either in nature or in response?

Good Energy has "a special tariff for Quaker meeting houses to use
100% renewable energy."

Ammerdown Invitation: See http://rethinkingsecurity.org.uk/

GM Scotland minute raises important issues -- Truth and integrity the
key point. The fact that this funding for the introduction of cadet
forces bypasses Scottish oversight of education in Scotland is
particularly concerning (and may come as news to AM as it did to me),
because it means that there's no straightforward way to ask the
Scottish government/parliament for equal time, as it were.

Trustees: Gold ??papers??
(MfS also ??)
