20
Paper from Phil Lucas

21
HST circulated a paper with some thoughts from PL

22
AB reminded us that we must bear in mind that all the input we've had is from
23 individual perspectives, on a very complex multi-faceted problem, and it is not
24 surprising that the perspectives are not entirely consistent with one another.
25 Furthermore, those inconsistencies need not be 'blamed' on individuals.

26
We were left uncertain just what it would mean if we were, or were not, a "Quaker
27 Centre". Not all QCs are residential, if we understand KJ's contributions last time.
28 We are by far the largest Quaker premises in Scotland. 7VT is evidently not just a
29 place which is primarily used for Meeting for Worship, and committee meetings.

30
The question of why we don't have outside signage arose. When the terrace
31 re-opens through to G-IV bridge, we should certainly try to get something put there
32 again, with less uncertain orientation than the previous one.

33
How far can we go with sitting lightly to the full force of the health and
34 safety, fire, food hygiene advice and/or regulations? AB has suggested to the Clerk of
35 AM that we need a threshing meeting at AM level to air all the issues around the
36 regulations. We believe that Trustees have asked John Phillips to write a report on
37 this. Our testimony to truth and integrity can be a burden as well as a blessing.

38
Does the cooking regulation watershed apply <emph>only</emph> if food is sold, as
39 opposed to being made available to the group which also does the cooking? Is Fabric
40 and Maintenance likely to know the answer? Tom Nisbet? Ken Jobling?

62
Central Edinburgh LM has come to be very dependent on an attractive (that is,
63 including hot soup) lunch -- what impact on that would the reduced kitchen option(s) make?

64
Again, does our particular situation mean that health and safety regulations
65 apply fully or not when we have a youth group?

66
How well 'advertised' are the resources we already have here? Different answers
67 for different kinds of resources. . . Where does this fit in? Windows?

71
HST to get the Kath Russell report, and some letting evaluation

72 forms, say from 4Q2008, and circulate. Also ask if any summary or collation has been done.

73
HST to ask Ken Jobling where to find the details of how food hygiene regulations
74 apply depending on exactly what's happening.
